This shortened, child-friendly version of the guided tour allows children aged 6 and over, accompanied by an adult, to take a peek behind the scenes. Here, the gigantic stage sets are waiting to make their grand entrance! You can also step onto the main stage yourself, where opera singers perform their arias, have a look into the orchestra pit and find out how the stagehands, the props team and other departments prepare for a performance. This behind-the-scenes look gives an insight into how opera is made and how many staff members, teams and departments are involved in putting on a performance. The meeting and starting point for our guided tour is the ticket hall at the Opera House.
